Standard Chartered Tower Unveiled at Henderson Land's
20 October 2009, Beijing - Henderson Land Development Company Limited ("Henderson Land") and Standard Chartered Bank (China) Limited ("Standard Chartered China") today signed a tenancy agreement for World Financial Centre ("WFC") in Beijing, confirming the Bank as one of the anchor tenants of the iconic development in the Central Business District. The agreement was signed during a naming ceremony for the East Tower of the WFC, which was officially unveiled to be 'Standard Chartered Tower'. CB Richard Ellis provided transaction management as well as project management services for Standard Chartered China, in addition to property management services for World Financial Centre Beijing as announced last November.

Mr. Ji Lin, Vice Mayor of Beijing and Mr. Chen Gang, Party Secretary of Chaoyang District, Mr. Huo Xue-wen, Party Secretary of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Finance and Ms. Wu Gui-ying, Vice Governor of Chaoyang District attended the ceremony. The Bank will occupy approximately 9,035 sq.m. on the 11th and 12th floors of the Standard Chartered Tower for its offices and about 308 sq.m. on the ground floor for consumer banking services. Both office and branch are expected to move into the building in April 2010.
