Dr Martin Lee Ka-shing, Chairman of Henderson Land Group, and Mrs Cathy Chui Lee are all smiles in front of Jeff Koon’s Balloon Swan (Red) which takes pride of place in the atrium of the newly completed The Henderson!

Resonating the curves and linear lines of the magnificent Zaha Hadid Architects designed tower, the imposing yet whimsical Balloon Swan adds the final inspirational touch to the most ambitious architectural project in Central and a dramatic addition to Hong Kong’s iconic skyline.

In fact, as soon as Zaha Hadid Architects was confirmed to design The Henderson, they knew the Balloon Swan (Red) was destined for its new “home” and acquired the sculpture. “The reflective and translucent curve perfectly echoes The Henderson’s fluid form,” Dr Martin Lee Ka-shing, Chairman of the Group says. “We want everyone entering The Henderson to feel that they are surrounded by masterpieces, all meticulously curated to redefine the office environment.”

In a fitting crescendo to the unveiling of this magnificent tower - auction house Christie’s anchors The Henderson and will host its inaugural auction at their new space, where current records are expected to be shattered in numerous categories.

Like the creative vision of The Henderson, the aspirations and ambitions will be equal parts to the grand achievement of a truly unique city landmark.
