Professor Ko Ping Keung has been an Independent Non-executive Director of the Company since 2004. He is also a member of the Audit Committee, the Remuneration Committee, the Nomination Committee and the Whistleblowing Committee of the Company. Professor Ko holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from The University of Hong Kong, a Doctor of Philosophy degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He is an Adjunct Professor of Peking University and Tsinghua University and Emeritus Professor of Electronic and Computer Engineering and the former Dean of the School of Engineering of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was the vice chairman of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department of the University of California at Berkeley in 1991–1993 and a member of Technical staff, Bell Labs, Holmdel, in 1982–1984. Professor Ko is an independent non-executive director of Henderson Investment Limited, Montage Technology Co., Ltd. and VTech Holdings Limited as well as a non-executive Director of OneRobotics (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., all of which are companies listed in Hong Kong. He is also a director of Googol Technology Co., Ltd. and Smartsens Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., both of which are companies listed in Chinese Mainland. Professor Ko previously served as an independent non-executive director of Q Technology (Group) Company Limited until 8 September 2025, an independent director of Primarius Technologies Co., Ltd. until 18 February 2025 and a director of Beken Corporation until 25 August 2025.
