Henderson Land Marks its 50th Anniversary with a Heartfelt Commitment to the Community, Benefiting over 120,000 people Bringing Warmth to the Community during the Mid-Autumn Festival and Empowering Grassroots Students through Learning Allowances

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Henderson Land Development Company Limited (“Henderson Land” or “the Group”) (Stock code: 12). To express its sincere gratitude to all sectors of society for their steadfast support over the past five decades, the Group has rolled out a series of community initiatives since early this year, including charity runs, festive gatherings for seniors and community fun days. In addition, the Group joined hands with Legislative Council Members to distribute 50,000 “Umbrella Canes” across districts in Hong Kong, extending care to diverse communities and those in need. In just nine months, these initiatives have benefited over 120,000 people.

With the new school year underway this month and the Mid-Autumn Festival drawing near, Henderson Land has once again extended its warm support across the community. Through the Group’s latest initiatives, it has disbursed learning allowances to students via its Community Living Rooms and distributed festive gifts to transitional housing residents, bringing meaningful encouragement and festive warmth to grassroots families.

Learning Allowance Benefits over 2,300 Student Members of Community Living Rooms

In the third consecutive year of this initiative, the Group has disbursed learning allowances to student members of its affiliated Nam Cheong and Prince Edward Community Living Rooms. The allowance was increased from HK$1,000 to HK$1,500 per student to provide greater support and motivation throughout their educational journey. It will be distributed through the digital platform “CharityToday”, operated by St. James’ Settlement. As expenses for textbooks and learning essentials continue to climb, this timely assistance helps alleviate the burden of education costs on grassroots families.

Delivering Festive Warmth to Transitional Housing Residents and Community Living Room Members

This year, Henderson Land also sponsored the Mid-Autumn celebration organised by Pok Oi Hospital at “Pok Oi Kong Ha Wai Village” for the fourth consecutive year. Together with the Henderson Warmth Volunteer Team, the Group distributed 2,000 Mid-Autumn gift packs filled with practical supplies, including groceries and household goods, to convey warm festive greetings. Extending the festive cheer further, the Group presented mooncakes and vegetarian buns to members of the Nam Cheong and Prince Edward Community Living Rooms, sharing the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival with the wider community.
