Henderson Land Group ("Henderson Land" or "the Group") is motivated by innovation, and is committed to creating better, smarter living throughout all stages of project execution from design through development, construction and management. Building on its brand tagline "Realising Your Imagination", Henderson Land has launched the “Realising Our New Central Harbourfront x AI project”, which is open to the public from now until 31 October. Using cutting-edge generative AI technology, this exciting project invites participants to collaborate in envisioning possibilities for the upcoming Central waterfront promenade. Embracing this new technology opens doors for the next generation to seek inspiration in innovation and nurture creativity that builds the future.
"Henderson Land's New Central Harbourfront development project is built around the design concept of a bridge," said Dr. Martin Lee Ka-shing, Chairman of Henderson Land Group. "We want to create a world-class landmark that incorporates ample greenery and public space in support of a sustainable future. By putting people first, we hope to foster a thriving community in the heart of the city and develop a shared space by the harbourfront as a valuable asset for everyone. To achieve this vision, we are inviting the public to explore the power of AI and help us imagine what this future inclusive community could look like."
In conceptualising this future public space at the Central Harbourfront, inspiration comes from innovation, sustainability, and people
The Site 3 New Central Harbourfront will be a vital link between core areas of Central and the waterfront, providing generous outdoor space and fostering community connections. Using Generative AI, the Realising Our New Central Harbourfront x AI project is inviting the public to contribute their ideas of a future cityscape. Participants will view a blueprint from two different perspectives and enter command prompts to create a design that aligns with their own vision for the space. The AI will then generate exclusive concept maps based on these prompts, and creations will be collected for online or offline public viewing.
Participants can select from an aerial base image and a fountain square base image, with each responding to specific prompts in crafting a design. For example, in the aerial base image, the prompt "Energy Conservation" may put solar panels or wind turbines along the seashore, while "Low Carbon Life" could plant trees towering in the warm sunshine, and "Art and Culture" might showcase a large-scale concert with water dancing and fireworks. The fountain square base image offers participants an opportunity to generate leisure facilities, with commands like “Biodiversity " filling the space around the fountain with flowers, birds and butterflies, “Shopping and Dining" filling the square with different outdoor booths, and "Healthy Lifestyle" adding slow-living activities like yoga, jogging and picnicking — a glimpse of an ideal future for ourselves and future generations.
