Group Chairman Dr. Martin Lee Awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Social Science by The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong

Congratulations to Henderson Land Group Chairman Dr. Martin Lee on being awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Social Science by The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, in recognition of his longstanding commitment and contributions to Hong Kong!

From expediting land supply to help tackle the city’s housing issues, to initiating Hong Kong’s largest transitional housing project in Kong Ha Wai, to advancing local youth, sports and cultural development with programmes like the “Henderson Land Commendation Scheme for Elite Athletes”, Dr. Lee has championed and supported a vast expanse of community and philanthropic work that has not only enhanced our well-being but also spurred positive social change.

Furthermore, in an effort to combat COVID-19, Dr. Lee has facilitated the Group’s loan of four land sites to the Government for the purpose of providing anti-epidemic facilities, and has contributed about HK$150 million worth of relief supplies and monetary support through the “Henderson Development Anti-Epidemic Fund” to help the needy.

Looking ahead, Dr. Lee will continue to lead by example and shape a better Hong Kong for today, tomorrow and generations to come.
